Healing starts here

My practice focuses on trauma, especially with those within the neurodivergent community who have experienced trauma. It is also my practice to use therapeutic interventions such as EMDR and to focus on body sensations and attachment as we do our work together. About

About Stephanie

I specialize in supporting adult individuals navigating the complexities of trauma. I am also passionate about working with adult clients who identify as neurodivergent; including ADHD, Autistic, or AuDHD (this includes those medically or self-diagnosed). My primary goal is to help you connect with your truest, best self and find happiness in the person you are. I firmly believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for all healing, which is why your safety and comfort are my top priorities. I approach therapy from a holistic, relational perspective, drawing on trauma-informed, somatic, person-centered, and systemic relational orientations. My practice also integrates narrative therapy and psychoeducation. While I focus on these deeper modalities, I selectively use evidence-based tools from CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness to give you practical skills for your daily life. You are the expert in your life. I am here to validate your experiences while also gently challenging patterns that may be holding you back. You are always in control and free to accept or reject any ideas we explore. Sessions can be as active or as client-led as you need. I can take the lead by recapping our last discussion, or we can dive into whatever is on your mind. My role is to help you see connections and patterns, and I always check in to ensure my observations feel accurate to you. I generally do not assign homework unless it is a necessary part of a specific therapeutic model or something you explicitly request. Our journey begins with an assessment session, where I ask follow up questions based on your initial paperwork and we also discuss your specific goals and preferences, ensuring our therapeutic work is tailored to your needs. My physical and virtual office spaces are intentionally designed to be welcoming and inclusive for individuals of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds. I typically work with clients long-term, allowing for deep, lasting growth, though I am happy to adjust to shorter-term, single-issue focused work (such as processing a recent trauma). To ensure we are a good fit from the start, I prefer a brief video consultation—if either of us feels the immediate connection is missing, we can explore other options, as I believe everyone can change and grow. When I'm not in session, I am often working on a craft project that might or might not get finished, playing video games or spending time in nature (during the warmer months). (If I were independently wealthy and not a therapist, I'd split my time as a professional organizer, a crafter, and a seasonal gift wrapper!)
