About Stephanie
I started my career working with adults with cognitive disabilities, then with autistic children and most recently, before going into private practice, with families who experienced trauma, especially generational trauma. Once I started learning more about trauma and how it impacts the brain and the body, I was hooked. Since then, I have continued my education and learned new techniques to help people with trauma.
I have shifted my focus in my practice to be more exclusively for those who want to work through trauma as well as those who identify as ADHD/Autistic/AuDHD. These populations experience more "micro-traumas" especially if they are a part of more than one marginalized group. I am working to find and use the best tools that are also neurodivergent friendly.
I would not call myself an expert in trauma or in neurodivergence but I am proficient and work to stay up to date on new information and with trainings.
My special interests include a multitude of crafting hobbies (embroidery, painting, coloring, sewing, etc), gardening and (trying to) homestead. I also love to learn, especially about the brain, trauma, ADHD, and Autism. I identify as a queer AuDHD woman (diagnosed later in life). When not working, I am usually at home with my family and my pets (if you ask, I will tell you all about my pets!).
